John Hardy spent years in the roofing industry watching homeowners get pressured, confused, and oversold. He knew there was a better way. In 2017, he and his wife Allison launched Divided Sky Roofing from San Marcos, Texas with a radical idea: tell people the truth — even if it costs you the job.
That meant telling homeowners when they didn't need a new roof. Walking away from easy upsells. Explaining insurance processes that other contractors kept intentionally vague. It wasn't the fastest way to grow. But it was the right way.
Today, Divided Sky has grown from a one-truck operation to a full-service roofing and exteriors company — and the same honesty that started it all is still the foundation of every job.
